Pandit Krishna Kumar
Pandey hails from a family of Priests from Northern India. He
is the third generation Priest in this family Dynasty. He is an Acharya
in vedic Religion and Astrology from Sanskrit University Varanasi, India.
He is M.A. in Sanskrit from Allahabad University, India. He is a Visharad
in Dharma Shashtra from Hindi Vishwa Vidyalaya Prayag (Allahabad) India.
Bharat Gaurav Awarded to Panditji Pandit Pandey was awarded the Bharat Gaurav Award
(Pride of India Award) for his meritorious religious and social service
performed at Sunnyvale Hindu Temple for the Bay Area Community. Honorable
Pavan Kumar Bansal, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Water Resources
presented the Award to him on January 6, 2011 in a Seminar on Global Participation
in India's Economic Development organized by International Indian Friendship
Society. Previous recipients of these awards include many famous personalities
including Mother Teresa, Vice President B. D Jatti, Dr. Bhishm Narayan
Singh, Kiran Bedi and Sunil Gavaskar. See

Panditji Offering Hindu Prayer in Senate and
House of Representatives at Des Moines
was taught by Shri Ram Chandra Tripathi of Dhaumy Ashram in Allahabad
under guidance of Shri Ashok Ji Singhal (currently President of Vishwa
Hindu Parishad) during his twelve years studies in Allahabad and Varanasi.
Panditji has deep and extensive knowledge of Karma Kand
(religious rituals), Astrology, Vedas, Puranas,
Srimad Bhagwat Gita, Ramayana and Upanishads. Currently he is giving his noble service to the community of Bay Area, California and United State on behalf of Shiv Durga Temple of Bay Area as he is the Founder and President of the Shiv Durga Temple.
In the year 1985, after completion of his studies, Panditji was
appointed as a priest (religious Guide) for Indian Army, by the then president
of India, Shri R. Venkata Raman, to serve as a Priest for the troops officers,
their families and relatives. Panditji gave his services to Indian army
for 18 years and received three Medals in recognition of his outstanding
Panditji also served as a priest for the world famous
Temple of Vaishno Devi in Jammu and Kashmir (India, where on an average
more than 100,000 devotees pay their tribute every month to Mata Viashno
devi. Pandit ji oversaw and directed the project for renovating the base
temple "First Darshan of mata Vaishno-Kandoli Mandir.
From November 2003, Panditji has been giving his services in United States
of America as a priest. From November 2003 through May 2006, he was a
priest at Hindu Temple and cultural center in Des Moines, Iowa. He is a founder and President, spiritual leader and main priest of Shiv Durga Temple located at 3550 Flora Vista Ave , Santa Clara , California.
Panditji was first vedic and Hindu priest in Iowa state
who was honoured to perform a Prayer ceremony at Iowa Senate Legislative
Assembly. While serving the Hindu community in Iowa, he established an
interfaith dialogue with the community. He also taught course on Hindu
Vedic Religion in Iowa state.
